Getting Things Done

Monthly Archives: September 2010

The first blog post from Collaboration Agent 001

This story has three parts. If you choose to read it, you will learn about:

  1. The Spaniards coming to the Bay Area and the start of our own MI6
  2. The reason we concluded their need be a Teambox and our purpose
  3. My experience at TechCrunch Disrupt

Brand your organization

Teambox now includes branding on all plans, for free!

You can now configure your organization to be accessible through team.yourdomain.com and look like this:

To do that, open Teambox and go to the page of the organization you want to configure. You’ll see something like this:

Then, choose your organization’s short code and configure the main page HTML. For this you can use inline CSS, Javascript and HTML as much as you wish. You can also configure your own logo.

Once you configured this, you can also choose to serve Teambox from your own domain. For this, you need to add a CNAME entry on your DNS records that point to teambox.com. (notice the final dot).

If you need help with this, drop us a line and we’ll be glad to help!

Learn how to use Organizations

We just launched the Organizations feature, a whole new way to organize projects and permissions for your work.

  • Better role management system: Specify who can create projects in your organization.
  • Branding for your company: Set up your own collaboration site in minutes to share your company.
  • Pay once, all the company gets premium features.

If you’re getting a new account, you will be asked to create a new organization when signing up. You can create as many organizations as you wish for your projects.

If you’re an existing user, this is what’s new:

  1. Projects you created before are now your personal organization.
  2. You can transfer projects between organizations.
  3. You can give permissions to users to customize the organization.
  4. You can give permissions to users to create projects inside it.

This is how it looks like to manage your organizations:
